Indian hang-out
The Indian people here in the office are fun and easy going and I have had a great time with them. We are from very different cultures and one example of our cultural differences is when I spoke to one of the girls and she was shaking her head. I perceived it as if she did not agree and after some confusion I looked it up and found the following information about India:
Shaking your head from side to side is a visual way to communicate to the speaker that you understand what they are saying or that you agree.
Other things that I appreciate when hanging out with them is to listen to Indian pop music during lunch, to taste their homemade food and to chew their refreshing fennel mix after lunch.
